Mega Lifesciences is looking for a HR Services Lead / Regional Head of HR to work closely with the Chief People Officer in a fast-paced environment that will offer ample opportunities to learn and expand your experience and expertise.
Job Summary
As a HR Services Lead / Regional Head of HR Services your key tasks include:
- Ensuring multi-country compliance with labor laws, social security, and statutory requirements; designing and continuously improving HR policies, handbooks, and employee regulations aligned to local laws and global standards; and governing the full employment lifecycle (hiring to exit) including restructuring, redundancies, and settlements.
- Leading employment-law oversight across regions by coordinating external counsels on disputes, audits, and regulatory interpretations; reviewing contracts and expatriate arrangements; and translating new or amended laws into timely, pragmatic policy updates.
- Building and operating a robust people-compliance and risk framework; identifying and mitigating jurisdictional risks; steering internal/external audits; and managing inspections, notices, and statutory reporting with rigor and speed.
- Governing expatriate and cross-border mobility, including visas, work permits, compliance with host-country requirements, and end-to-end repatriation processes.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people governance and legal risk; partnering with HR Heads, Country Managers, Finance, and Operations; and preparing board-level updates, risk reports, and governance recommendations.
- Standardizing and maintaining HR/compliance documentation, statutory records, employee data, and compliance registers; and leading change management for policy and process updates driven by regulatory change.
- Overseeing ethics, conduct, and investigations with fairness and consistency; ensuring legally compliant disciplinary actions and grievance handling; and strengthening a culture of ethics, compliance, and transparency.
- Establishing performance-management frameworks (e.g., SBOMs) across markets; and managing compensation and benefits to balance competitiveness, internal equity, and legal compliance.
- Managing end-to-end talent acquisition for senior leadership and expatriate roles (and overseeing hiring across levels), leveraging strength-based recruitment principles across markets.
- Running end-to-end exit management for senior leaders and expatriates to ensure compliant, well-documented separations.
Qualification & Experience
Applications are invited from interested candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree in Law or MBA (HR) preferred; certifications in Labor Law, Compliance, or Risk Management are an advantage.
- 10 - 12 years’ experience across HR, Legal, and Compliance, with proven delivery in multi-country or regional operations.
- Experience with expatriates and cross-border employment models; exposure to ASEAN, Africa, or global labor frameworks preferred.
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting, and how to integrate HR practices with environmental, social, and governance standards.
Skills & Knowledge
The candidate will demonstrate expertise in multi-country labor laws, HR governance, and business-focused legal interpretation. The candidate will showcase strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills while ensuring audit-ready documentation. The candidate should have a structured, responsible approach with discretion and follow-through. The candidate must possess a solution-oriented, risk-based mindset to simplify complexity, uphold compliance, and enable consistent people practices supporting sustainable growth.
