Dr. San Jaiyodsil, heart surgeon whose life was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with ischemic heart disease at the age of 55 and began experiencing chest pain during exertion or stress, had a fear of death that led him to refuse standard treatments such as balloon angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG, coronary artery bypass grafting).
